Medex
prepares natural products, which can consolidate your
health and
help relieve pain. Our products include the
following bee produced substances and herbs:

Honey is a natural antioxidant nutrient and sweetener.
It contains essential
fats, vitamins B, C, D, E and beta-carotene, minerals
(calcium, magnesium,
selenium) and flavonoids. It also has a beneficial
effect on the respiratory
and digestive organs as well as the skin and helps
in cases of cold, fatigue
and after excessive exercise.

Besides proteins, pollen also contains carbohydrates,
vitamins, nucleic
acids and minerals. Acting as a natural bio-stimulant,
pollen increases
vitality, has a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular
system, encourages
physical and mental activity, hinders the ageing process
and helps
prevent stress.

Royal jelly contains proteins, carbohydrates,
fats, amino and nucleic acids,
minerals, vitamins and hormones. This substance
increases vitality and
strengthens the immune system, hinders the
ageing process, stimulates
the cell metabolism in skin, encourages appetite
and helps the body recover its strength after
illness.

Propolis contains flavonoids and aromatic acids. It successfully
acts
against bacteria, viruses and fungi, and stimulates wound
healing.

Honey bee venom contains nitrogen compounds.
It is known to calm
problems relating to rheumatism. The simplest
method of using this
substance is to apply it in the form of
a cream prepared from pure bee
venom powder.

The Medex products are prepared with no added sugar,
artificial flavours or preservatives. These products
have been taken from an abundance of natural
sources and we have used no additives nor have
we taken anything from these
substances while processing them technologically.

Medex
Medex d.d. started trading in 1954 as a small company
selling honey. Since then it has established
a reputation across Europe for developing so-called
"apitherapeutic" products - i.e. natural remedies
and treatments derived from honey, royal jelly, propolis,
pollen and bee venom.  Medex's
production and laboratory processes are subject
to strict government regulations and in 2002 achieved
full ISO 9001 certification.

Slovenian Bees
Slovenia is the
natural meeting point of four different regions:
the Alpine region, the Pannonian region, the Mediterranean
region and the Dinaro-Karstic regions.
The so-called "Carniolan" bee has adapted
over time to all four eco-systems.
Carniolan
bees are nearly as big and long as the Western
European black bees, though their abdomens
are much slimmer. They have grey hairy stripe,
which has led to the bees being known as
the "Grey
Bee". They are more resistant to disease
and achieve better honey yields than other
continental breeds.
To date, the Carniolan bee has not been
affected by "Colony Collapse Disorder" witnessed
across Europe and North America. |
